Dr. Haifa Maamar is the Executive Director for Emerging Technologies at Full Sail University, overseeing all technology and gaming programs at the institution. Her expertise in Immersive Technology, Extended Reality, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Simulation, Gaming, User Experience, and Cyber Security helps her prepare students for innovative design and development careers in dynamic fields of emerging technologies. Dr Maamar is a strategic-thinking, innovative, and dynamic leader with over 20 years of industry experience, including Research and Development (R&D) in emerging technologies with a superior record of accomplishment. She is the recipient of several awards including The Spirit of Innovation award for the 2022 Women’s Inspired Leadership Awards, and Silver Award for the Best Cybersecurity Education Provider Category – Annual 2023 Cybersecurity World Awards.
Dr Maamar is a thought leader and speaks globally on Emerging Technologies and Innovation. She is an international keynote speaker, panelist, moderator, lecturer, innovation workshops leader and host of Tech Tuesday show. She is also the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) Ambassador with over 20 workshops and presentations on Diversity.
Dr. Maamar has been on several advisory boards to help tech companies in Europe, North Africa and Middle East with the research, development, and deployment of their products. In addition, Dr. Maamar served on several advisory committees to review and revise program offerings of universities in North Africa, Middle East and Asia.
Dr. Maamar is on the board of directors of the National Center for Simulation, and she is the Full Sail representative on the board for the VR/AR Association’s local Orlando chapter, as well as the Orlando Tech Council.
