Dr. Katie Ross is Executive Director of Academic Affairs at Full Sail University. The Academic Affairs department serves the Education department, which includes graduate and undergraduate studies, education administration, academic effectiveness, faculty affairs, and academic success. She has been an instructor and administrator for higher education for 17 years. Prior to this role, Dr. Ross has served in roles across Education including: Education Director of Liberal Studies, Program Manager for First-Term Initiatives, Associate Course Director for the Creative Presentation, Orientation Manager, and Student Advisor.
In addition to supporting Academic Affairs at Full Sail, Dr. Ross is an expert in the field of online learning and shares her knowledge by presenting at conferences and reviewing articles for publication in journals such as the Journal of Technology and Higher Education and the Journal of Educational Technology and Online Learning. She has also contributed to the field by publishing her own research, which focuses on online learning design and how to create immersive learning experiences that engage students.
Dr. Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, a Master of Science in Education Media Design and Technology from Full Sail University, and a Doctorate of Education degree from Northeastern University.
